Scott A. Ashford, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE, the Kearney Dean of Engineering at Oregon State University, has been named a fellow by the ASCE Board of Direction.
Under Ashford’s leadership, the College of Engineering has seen total enrollment grow by nearly 50 percent. He now oversees the 10th-largest engineering program in the U.S., with nearly 10,000 students and 445 faculty and staff. During his time as dean, the number of degrees conferred has increased over 75 percent, and overall graduation rates are up by 20 percent.
